Exclusive “Crystal Engraving”

One of the most exclusive gemstone engravings in our extensive collection is the Crystal engraving. This engraving is a showpiece of beauty and unparalleled craftsmanship. Unlike the traditional signet ring engraving, which also serves to make an impression of the family coat of arms in sealing wax, this engraving is applied solely to display the family coat of arms legibly.

The gemstone we use is a rock crystal of absolute top quality. This rock crystal is cut with a slight dome, which we refer to as a “cabochon” cut gemstone. Beneath the transparent upper layer of the rock crystal, an onyx gemstone of a deep black colour is set. By engraving the family coat of arms on the underside of the rock crystal and then placing it on the onyx layer, an incredible interplay of depth and refined beauty is created. This exceptionally precious engraving is only for those who settle for nothing less than the finest and most exclusive, without it ever appearing ostentatious. In short: stylish, understated exclusivity, chic and distinctive.

For this special engraving too, a suitable signet ring must first be chosen from our “Exclusive Line” collection. Not every ring design is suited to carry a gemstone combination as described.
